Jakeem Grant is a husband (wife) Ranysha Grant, father of 3 children (Jakeem Grant Jr, twin daughters (Kaylie and Kylie Grant). Grant grew up in Dallas, Texas in a single-family home with mom Sylvia Whittaker and two brothers (Markeith Whittaker and Keonte Grant). Grant attended John Horn High School in Mesquite, Texas and was a three-star prospect rated by Rivals.com. He held offers from Colorado State, Iowa State, Louisiana Tech, Pittsburgh, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest. He was originally committed to Tulsa but flipped his commitment to Texas Tech where he then became Texas Tech all time-leading receiver, setting their all-time record for receiving yards, breaking several records including Michael Crabtree and Wes Welker. Grant became known as AKA “NO_SPEED_LIMIT”.
